THE SPACE
We are incredibly proud of how this project came together. It marks our very first international collaboration! What began as a simple online consultation quickly grew into a full design service. Designing the space virtually was a fun challenge, especially as we relied entirely on the measurements and photographs sent to us.
The client wanted a home that could host many guests while still keeping the kitchen highly functional. We embraced a Japandi-inspired scheme and a slow-living approach, choosing finishes that were minimal and calming. The result is a serene, thoughtful, and beautifully balanced space.
CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
Working with Rupa at Shaala Designs was like unlocking our home’s potential one stylish decision at a time-all the way from London. We were drowning in choices, from “Are there really 14,745 shades of white?” to “What is this mystical thing called Japandi interior design?” She patiently guided us through decisions we didn’t even know we needed to make.
From finding the perfect cabinet shade to match our white oak island to choosing hardware that whispers elegance with just the right amount of flair, her instincts were unmatched. Even our mix of contemporary lighting and transitional style preferences didn’t faze her for a second.
The result is a home that feels like us-polished, functional, and somehow magazine-worthy without the stress of actually living in a magazine. Honestly, if Rupa can achieve this level of magic virtually, we can only imagine what she would create in person.
Highly recommend!
